Hotel Era Tulum

Project Overview

Hotel Era Tulum is an intimate boutique hotel located in the La Veleta neighborhood of Tulum. Conceived and built under the direction of Roberto Carli, the project reflects a contemporary architectural approach that combines modern geometries with natural textures and materials.

The hotel features nine exclusive suites organized around a central courtyard with a swimming pool, creating a calm and private environment within the urban fabric of Tulum. Large openings, balconies, and terraces allow natural light and ventilation while maintaining a strong connection with the surrounding tropical vegetation.

Material selection plays an important role in the architectural identity of the project. Chukum plaster walls, polished concrete floors, natural fibers, and handcrafted wooden elements create a tactile contrast between modern construction and traditional regional materials.

The program also includes a wellness-oriented spa, rooftop lounge areas, and communal spaces, reinforcing the boutique scale of the hotel while offering a complete hospitality experience.

Through careful spatial organization, materiality, and construction management, Hotel Era Tulum represents an example of contemporary boutique hospitality architecture adapted to the evolving urban context of Tulum.
